Marxist Summer Academy, August 9-14, in Prague

The RIO Summer Academy (August 9-14) is a camp for revolutionaries of all ages. While it doesn’t take place at the Copacabana, summer feeling will come up for sure at a lake near Prague.

There will be many discussions about Marxist theory: topics will include the current crisis of capitalism in Germany, Europa and worldwide; anti-militarism and anti-imperialism; and the „left turn“ in Latin America. The program is directed at experienced activists as well as people who want to learn the basics of Marxist politics.

Additionally, there will be workshops on revolutionary practice: how to write articles, produce journals or hold speeches. During the camp, there will also be a lot of time for summer activities (there is a lake nearby) and parties at night.

We will travel to the camp from Prague, Berlin, Rostock, Kiel, Bremen, Zurich and St. Gallen. We’re still working on the program but you can get the latest version via e-mail.
