Revolution is magnificent. Everything else is nonsense.* (Rosa Luxemburg)
– Everything sucks! There’s not nearly enough apprenticeship positions… school is extremely annoying… university – if you even have the chance – is only about money… there’s more and more work for less and less money for some people … for the others there’s the unemployment office… deportations into the states of bloodthirsty dictators… Nazis hunt down “un-German” people… worldwide 24,000 people die of hunger every day and countless more die in wars… add to this smiling faces in the executive suites of the big corporations, who make record profits every year – it sucks! »»»»
The very term “Democratic Centralism” calls forth images of the Politburo of the CPSU and the slavish obedience of the Stalinist parties. Despite this association, we from REVOLUTION defend the term of the principle behind it, because we see in it the exact opposite of Stalinism*. »»»»

Under capitalism, young people are subject to special forms of oppression. We get bad jobs with low wages, we suffer under the arbitrary rule of parents and teachers, are impeded in the development of our sexuality, we are not allowed to vote but can be sent to die imperialist wars, to name just a few examples. This oppression is a product of capitalism and therefore it can only be ended by the overthrow of this system. »»»»

Tons of people will take part in the protests against the G8. But what comes next? Poverty, unemployment, climate change, cuts in education – all the products of capitalism – will still exist. For this reason we must organize beyond the G8 summit to fight this entire system. »»»»

This manifesto was adopted at REVOCAMP 2003 in Prague and ammended at the REVOCAMPs in 2004 and 2007.
REVOLUTION is an international revolutionary socialist youth movement.
We aim to overthrow global capitalism through workers’ revolution and replace it with a global communist system, based on production for need, not for profit.
